About The Event

Title - Zero Waste

A world without plastics, or synthetic organic polymers, seems unimaginable today.

Plastics have outgrown most man-made materials and have long been under environmental scrutiny.

A recent study, states that a whopping 91 percent of the plastic in the world doesn't get recycled, and around 79 percent makes its way to landfills or other parts of the environment.

If those recycling and consumption rates continue, researchers estimate that around 12,000 metric tons of plastic waste will crowd landfills by 2050.

What we see as a problem is the lack of robust global information, particularly  the time taken for the used plastics to decompose or degrade.

Awareness on ZERO WASTE LifeStyle is the need of the hour and any way you can contribute to the cutting down of Plastic will ultimately help.

Zero Waste lifestyle choices influences all environmental areas by preventing resource extraction, reducing the amount of materials sent to the landfill or incinerator. All of this also prevents from excess pollution due to the improper diposal of waste.

Join us as we bring to you, an interactive session by a 'Zero Waste practitioner' on how we can get rid of this legacy of waste & contribute to a Zero Waste’ culture by inculcating simple changes in our day to day life
