TraffiKnights - Good Samaritan Law
Time & Location
About The Event
In March 2016, the Supreme Court introduced Good Samaritan Law, through which it enforces legal protection to individuals who help road accident victims.
This law instructs 'Police' and 'Hospitals' for a hassle-free process to those who volunteer to assist accident victims to reach the hospital within the Golden Hour.
Henceforth intending to ensure that people do not refrain from helping accident victims fearing legal process/proceedings.
Karnataka government was the first in the country to approve the court’s ruling in 2016, months after a 24-year-old man was run over by a lorry in Bengaluru. He died before emergency services could reach him, flaring up a national debate about the role of bystanders.
YOU are invited to volunteer by holding placards to remind citizens of Bengaluru on Road Safety and Good Samaritan Law.
